    Grand opening of Arkhbum Tissue Group plant was held in Vorsino industrial park

    On September 8, 2020, Vladislav Shapsha, a Provisional Governor of the Kaluga Region, officially launched the plant for the production of sanitary tissue products of Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC (Vorsino industrial park, a subsidiary of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC, part of Pulp Mill Holding, the Austrian-German group).

    The event was also attended by Olga Epifanova, a Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, representatives of the banking sector and the business community.

    Arkhangelsk PPM is included into low risk class of FCS Russia

    Arkhangelsk PPM has signed the Charter “Faithful participants of foreign economic activities” initiated by RSPP Russia, CCI Russia, All-Russian Public Organization “Business Russia” and the Russian Organization for Small and Medium Entrepreneurship OPORA RUSSIA. It was announced by Konstantin Borisov, Head of APPM Customs Clearance Department.

    The main goal of the Charter is the compliance by its participants with the principle of compliance with the requirements of the law and good faith while the implementation of their foreign economic activities, as well as interaction with partners, counterparties and state authorities.

    APPM started production of ecologically pure ECF pulp

    Starting from October 21, 2019 pulp production of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC has switched to utilization of hydrogen peroxide as a bleaching agent, thus displacing sodium hypochlorite used before. This change in the bleaching technology will let APPM fully produce bleached kraft pulp under ECF technology (without using chlorum).

    The technology is a universally recognized industrial and ecological trend aimed at decrease of negative impact on the environment by means of considerable decrease of chlororganic compounds in the industrial sewage and finished product.

    APPM is going to increase the volume of export to Germany up to 15 mln EUR in 2020

    On October 18, 2019 General Counsel of Germany in St.Petersburg, Dr.Eltje Aderhold made an official visit to Arkhangelsk PPM JSC. According to Dr.Aderhold, she has heard a lot about the mill, the investment policy of APPM, the main part of which is the long-term conservation strategy.

    The contribution of Arkhangelsk PPM into Dvinsko-Pinezhskiy Nature Reserve was the key question of the meeting. Dr. Aderhold highly estimated the actions of APPM in respect of conservation of unique nature area. “I was glad to hear that the Dvinsko-Pinezhskiy Nature Reserve was established in Pomorie in the beginning of October. Yesterday and today I have repeatedly talked about how complicated the process of coordinating the borders of the Reserve, which lasted 18 years, was. It’s good to know that such environmental organizations as WWF, the Forest Stewardship Council, and representatives of business, government, and, of course, residents of the areas participated in the discussion”- said Dr. Eltje Aderhold. “I was assured that this is the first step, and that the practice of establishing the reserves will be extended to other territories.”
