In Moscow interplastica, the 23rd International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, held at the AO Expocenter in Krasnaja Presnja from 28 to 31 January 2020 continues its positive development. Demand for exhibition space in the machinery and equipment segments as well as in the raw materials division remains high. Messe Düsseldorf expects to the tune of 680 exhibitors from 30 countries to occupy 13,000 square metres of net exhibition space in three halls at Russia’s most important trade fair for the plastics and rubber industries. With these figures interplastica 2020 seamlessly follows on from the success of the previous event in January 2019.
Germany's Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) – supported by VDMA's Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association – will once again be taking part in interplastics with an official joint German participation. Other national pavilions will come from Italy, Austria and China. Numerous companies from Turkey will also be participating.

Russia plans to fundamentally modernise its infrastructure in the field of waste management over the coming years and is therefore currently developing into a highly promising market for recycling solutions providers. interplastica is accompanying this development with a new "Recycling Solutions" segment in exhibition hall 8.1. An integrated forum with panel discussions on waste management in Russia and exhibitors’ lectures round off the overall concept. Taken together over 50 exhibitors at interplastica 2020 will explicitly present solutions for reclamation and recycling.
Featured for the fourth time now as part of interplastica will be 'fab+print Russia' in Hall 2.3, the Special Show all about Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing. International experts will discuss the developments, opportunities and challenges of this technology while exhibitors will showcase their innovative products and solutions.
The Polymer Plaza in Hall 1 invites visitors to talks and discussions about raw material production, application and utilisation. Focal themes at this Forum include novel materials and applications as well as sustainability and resource savings across the value chain, to name but a few.
Held concurrently with interplastica will be upakovka 2020 – processing and packaging. At upakovka more than 250 exhibitors will be showcasing innovative packaging machines as well as technologies and materials for producing packaging materials and media. This event thereby generates synergies galore for interplastica visitors.
interplastica occupies Halls 1, 2, and 8 at Moscow Exhibition Centre, while upakovka is located in the Forum Hall. To the tune of 25,000 trade visitors are expected at the two events. Admission tickets to interplastica authorise their holders to visit upakovka and vice versa.

30 May 2018 saw the first international SAVE FOOD Conference being held as part of IPACK-IMA (29 May to 1 June), one of the most important European trade fairs for packaging and processing. Speakers from major groups and small companies, associations and NGOs addressed the issue of international food waste and losses from different angles.
After the big SAVE FOOD Congress of the initiative of the same name held by the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) and Messe Düsseldorf, the next event was now on the agenda in Milan in late May.
interplastica will take place from 23 to 26 January 2018 in Moscow
The economic recovery in Russia – particularly in the plastics sector – has resulted in interplastica 2018 being very popular with exhibitors. The leading trade fair for the industry will again be presenting a representative overview of the available machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry, raw and auxiliary materials, plastic and rubber products and services from 23 to 26 January. The event's organisers – Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary OOO Messe Düsseldorf Moscow – are expecting around 600 companies to attend from Russia and other countries. Strong participation is anticipated from the host country as well as from Germany, Italy, Austria and Turkey in particular. The official closing date for registering for interplastica 2018 is 4 October 2017. The corresponding documents are available online at www.interplastica.de.
From 3 to 5 November 2015, the third edition of the Food Processing & Packaging Exposyum (FPPE) will be taking place at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya. This annual event has thus firmly established itself in the local market. Enterprises from ten nations will be showcasing their solutions and products there. The exhibition will be accompanied by a three-day conference at which the theme of SAVE FOOD will play an important role.
The FPPE is a special type of event that combines a symposium with an exhibition. Its main focus is on adequate solutions that match the needs of local food producers. Their requirements and the proposals made by suppliers to meet them, as well as policies and framework conditions, are the core elements of the symposium.
Government and trade association topics head the agenda at the beginning of the three-day programme, while the second day will be devoted mainly to the topic of food losses. This part of the program will be organized by the partners of the SAVE FOOD Initiative, the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Messe Düsseldorf. Adequate processing and packaging solutions are key in fighting food losses, particularly in the Sub-Saharan countries where these losses are often caused by the lack of suitable means to process, store and transport harvested produce. For this reason, the third and last day of the symposium will concentrate on technology and knowledge transfer in these areas.
For the first time there will be a German national pavilion at the FPPE with 18 participating exhibitors as well as a joint presentation by the aluminium foil industry with five contributing companies.
Last year’s edition of the Food Processing & Packaging Exposyum drew more than 1,000 visitors from Kenya and the neighbouring East African states. FPPE Kenya 2015 is organized by Messe Düsseldorf. For more information, please visit www.fppe-ke.com
Visitors to drupa 2016 (the world's leading trade fair for print and cross-media solutions) will experience an exciting new approach to innovation in print when they stop by the drupa cube. This special conference and event programme will feature a wide range of applications for printed products in numerous industries and areas of life.
"New technologies like printed electronics and 3D printing, creative multichannel applications and the use of digital printing techniques in packaging and other sectors continue to illustrate the amazing potential of print," says Sabine Geldermann, director of drupa. "This potential is the focus of drupa cube, with its international conference and event programme. Through an interdisciplinary approach, it is also designed to bridge the knowledge gap about the relevancy and functionality of print that often exists between printing professionals and their creative agency, marketing, and brand owner clients across a variety of vertical markets."
In contrast to the first two cube conferences in 2008 and 2012, the 11-day programme is not organised by target group but rather, based on six key drupa 2016 themes:
Each presentation slot will combine various themes using best practise case studies: Functional printing and packaging printing, 3D printing and sustainability, and multichannel including print are some of the combinations being explored. This encourages thinking beyond supposedly fixed boundaries. This outside-the-box principle opens up new possibilities for visitors and broadens the horizon for the future of print.
Through its range of themes and its interdisciplinary concept, drupa cube is, for the first time, also addressing selected vertical markets including the food, consumer goods, interior design, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries; and the financial and public sectors. "In this way, we aim to attract new visitor groups to drupa and inspire them with the possibilities of print," adds Gelder-mann.
The strategic and creative design of the programme and its imple-mentation were handled by brand experience agency FreemanXP, a division of Freeman, the world’s largest event company. "I am confident that in FreemanXP we have the perfect partner at our side." Geldermann says. "Thanks to projects they have accomplished for global players like EFI, HP and the U.S. trade fair Graph Expo, FreemanXP has the necessary industry experience. Not only that, but FreemanXP has already worked for countless international brands in other industry segments, so it also brings to the table a vast amount of expertise and inspiration from outside the print industry." Jordan Waid, Vice-President, Brand Experience, at FreemanXP, adds: "Co-creation is the future and our new inter-sectional approach to the cube at drupa creates a collaboration hub for all facets of the print industry to design a new future for content creation."
