Robatech launches another new-generation adhesive melter. The powerful all-rounder melts up to 12.5 kg/h of thermoplastic adhesives despite its relatively small tank. Smart to operate and featuring numerous interfaces to simplify system integration, control and monitoring of adhesive application, Alpha ensures customers are well-prepared for the future.
“Our goal was to develop a new-generation adhesive melter that combines new features with those tried-and-tested,” explains Marcel Wey, Mechanical Engineer at Robatech. “With our modern RCS control platform, Alpha is keeping pace with the digital transformation. This is an important step to ensuring that our customers remain competitive in industrial adhesive applications.”
The all-electric Volta hot melt jetting head from Robatech has received an upgrade that makes it even more powerful. With the integrated stitching function, companies can now easily reduce their adhesive consumption by up to 60% – and thus successfully counteract rising production costs.

Effective January 1, 2025, Yves Ottiger is assuming operational leadership of the Robatech Group as its new CEO. He succeeds Martin Meier, who has led the company since 2018 and is going to continue to serve the Robatech Group in an advisory role.
Yves Ottiger brings extensive experience in strategic business management, product and market development. Since April 2024, he has been leading the Strategic Marketing & Innovation department at Robatech. Marcel Meyer, Chairman of the Board, expresses satisfaction with the leadership transition: "Yves has proven to be a real asset to our company in this short time. With his experience, strategic approach to developing new business models and products, and his close connection to the market, to our customers and employees, he will surely lead Robatech into a successful future."
Rikard Jönsson is Robatech's new Regional Sales Director (RSD) for the Nordics. He takes over from Søren Tolstrup, who has retired after a long-term engagement for Robatech.
With the change of the RSD and other staff members in the Nordics, it was time to get together and look ahead. For this reason, the new leader and his team met for two days in Halmstad, Sweden. Together, they discussed their strategic focus, were trained in the new CRM system, and socially created the basis for successful cooperation on a long walk and a barbecue.

On March 17/18/23, 2021, Robatech presented Vision, the new energy-efficient adhesive melter for high-quality adhesive application, in an online world premiere. The Swiss manufacturer developed a smart melter on a completely new platform with a space-saving design and innovative features for safe product gluing and cost-efficient operation.
“Vision is a completely new adhesive melter that opens up a new dimension in gluing,” explained Martin Spalinger, Director Strategic Marketing & Innovation. “The adhesive application is as repeatable and consistent as Swiss clockwork.”
The Swiss manufacturer of adhesive application solutions will not be exhibiting at the packaging trade fair interpack or the print media trade fair drupa in February/April 2021. Robatech is thus taking responsibility and, due to Covid-19, is giving top priority to the health of visitors and employees. The company is announcing that it will be presenting product innovations live via new communication channels.
In Robatech's opinion, there is a residual risk to the health of persons in connection with a visit to a trade fair despite protective concepts and hygiene requirements. In addition, there are more difficult conditions for travel and restrictions that strongly influence the trade fair experience. Robatech will also not be present at the CCE, Interzum and Ligna trade fairs in March and May 2021. However, the company is open to participation in digital format.
In May 2019, the Robatech Group launched new branding. For a year now, the Swiss manufacturer of industrial adhesive application systems has been utilizing Green Gluing to draw more attention to its innovative and sustainable solutions. The donation from the voting campaign launched at that time has now been distributed to three environmental organizations.
«The environment is important to us.» This is how Robatech AG titled its voting campaign in May 2019 in favor of the environmental organizations Rainforest Alliance, Ocean Conservancy, and Birdlife International. CHF 5 per casted vote was credited to the account of the organizations concerned. The ranking in the intermediate results reflected the explosive nature of current environmental topics over time: In May, the topic of avoiding plastics moved the environmental debate. When forest fires broke out in the Amazon in August 2019, the tide turned. In the end, Rainforest Alliance received just under 50 % of the CHF 10,000 donation.
From May 07 to 13, 2020, Robatech is going to present smart and sustainable adhesive application solutions for primary and secondary packaging. Innovative highlights promise a new dimension of gluing. The focus is on our innovations and the Robatech Control System - an all-in-one platform for easy control, operation, and monitoring of all adhesive application functions.
With the Robatech Control System (RCS), the Swiss manufacturer is presenting an electronic platform that already has all functionalities for controlling, operating, and monitoring the gluing process “on board.” Trade fair visitors can access the integrated all-in-one platform – live via a tablet. Robatech will demonstrate how RCS, in combination with futureoriented technologies and a new groundbreaking concept, brings great flexibility and more sustainability to gluing processes.
