We produce over 300 different varieties of containers for the filling industry. Furthermore, we are intensively advancing model developments not only in this field, but also in the field of bath fittings, office products and technical plastic components.
A fully automated high-bay warehouse, an expansion of production capacity and its own photovoltaic system: after a two-year construction phase, Jokey France can now significantly increase its performance and energy efficiency. The photovoltaic system, which will be ready for use in summer, further reduces the CO2 footprint of production.
With a high degree of precision, three cranes glide autonomously between the 25-meter high racks storing and retrieving pallets - this height allows 10 pallet levels to be stored on top of each other. In total, about 7,500 pallet spaces are stored on an area of 2,000 sqm. The new high-tech high-bay warehouse operates 24/7.

Finally, Jokey Treplás has moved into the completed new production facility where it will operate in the future under the name Jokey Iberica. Despite the restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic, the construction work was completed within 14 months and thus largely on schedule.

The new Jokey Iberica plant scores with the latest technical standards, significantly increased performance, and energy efficiency. A total of 400 tons of steel had to be installed before the new production facility was completed. A prolonged heavy rainfall in March 2020 temporarily turned the construction site into a muddy landscape; together with the Corona requirements during the first shutdown, the excavators were standing still for weeks. Nevertheless, the construction period was mostly met. On the 30,000 square meter plant site in Murcia, the capital of the region of the same name in the south of Spain, the new factory buildings now rise in a newly developed industrial park. At 10,000 square meters, it is twice as large as the old plant in Molina de Segura, 16 kilometres away. The special height of the new buildings means that they can accommodate more than 50 large, state-of-the-art injection-moulding machines.
Reuse instead of wasting - Resource-conserving circular economy, the Swiss building materials retailer Haga relies on the grey recyclate bucket from Jokey. The buckets used for selling clay plaster display the RAL recycled plastic quality mark and consist of at least 50% post-consumer recyclates (PCR).
With the use of recyclate buckets, another Jokey customer is taking up the sustainability approach that Jokey promotes in its extended Eco Concept 2.0. It is being promoted in the campaign „Grey is the New Green," which was launched in 2018. Founded in 1953, the traditional company HAGA, based in Rupperswil AG, specialized in the production and distribution of natural building materials in organic quality such as lime or clay plaster. The concept of sustainability is of key importance. "HAGA uses only environmentally friendly raw materials without synthetic additives. They meet all requirements, both in terms of construction biology and ecology," emphasizes Thomas Bühler, owner and managing director of HAGA AG. "With the recyclate bucket from Jokey, we have found a packaging solution that meets our high sustainability standards. After all, not only is awareness of construction biology and the demand for climate-friendly construction growing, customers also expect environmentally friendly packaging design."
With the initiative „Grey is the New Green", Jokey has been promoting packaging made from post-consumer recyclates (PCR) since 2018. Retailers and end customers can thus make an active contribution to resource conservation and climate protection. After all, recycled packaging strengthens a sustainable circular economy. More and more customers of Jokey are taking up the approach on sustainability - the latest is Braun GmbH, wholesaler for floristry and gardening, with its specialist trade brand Chrysal.

Founded in 1960, the family-owned company from Lemgo in eastern Westphalia is further expanding its sustainability strategy. The aim is to achieve the greatest possible energy efficiency, resource conservation and environmental protection, and to reduce its ecological footprint. In addition to operational measures, the entire product range is also being aligned step by step with sustainability goals. For example, an organic range has been added to the product range this year, and in addition to numerous packaging materials made from recycled plastic, the wholesaler is converting further bucket packaging and bottle materials to recycled plastic in the current season.
Jokey Treplás gets a new production facility. Construction work on the new 30,000 square metre site began at the end of February and is proceeding according to plan despite the restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic. The move to the state-of-the-art new plant is scheduled for early 2021.

The Jokey Treplás plant in Molina de Segura, which has been part of the Jokey Group since 2017, is currently bursting at the seams. The Spanish family-owned company currently offers a wide range of special packaging, household products and closure solutions, thus expanding the Jokey product portfolio. However, the plant is already working to full capacity with their production. Not only is there a lack of capacity for the planned production of the wide range of containers from Jokey's standard range for the Spanish market, but there is also not enough space for the large injection moulding machines required for this purpose. For this reason, the Jokey Group has purchased a new, larger site in 2018. It is located in Murcia, the capital of the region of the same name in the south of Spain, is about 15 km from the current production site and is intended to completely replace the old factory.
The Jokey Group, a leading international company in the field of plastic packaging, is now offering products that are certified according to ISCC PLUS. Four locations, three of which are in Germany and one which is in Spain, have been awarded ISCC PLUS certification. The certificate attests to the use and traceability of recycled materials on a mass balance basis. This step represents another contribution by the Jokey Group to encouraging a sustainable circular economy. This builds further on the targets in the company’s sustainability manifesto, the Jokey Eco Concept 2.0.
The Jokey Group has begun processing sustainable plastics at its ISCC certified locations, the raw materials of which are obtained through chemical recycling or from organic waste materials. Jokey is now offering its customers in the filling industry an environmentally friendly packaging solution which is particularly well suited for use in the food sector. In the non-food sector, Jokey has now been manufacturing packaging from recycled plastics, known as recyclates, since the early 1990s. In order to achieve this, post-consumer recyclates from household collections are recovered through factory-based mechanical recycling. Due to increased levels of consumer awareness, paint, construction materials and chemicals, among other things, are increasingly being packed in recycled material
Today, Jokey produces packaging buckets at 14 production locations for customers from all over the world. The foundation stone for Jokey‘s success story was laid in 1968 by the fi rm‘s founder, Josef Kemmerich, in a small workshop in Fähnrichstüttem near Wipperfürth. These premises quickly became too small and further production plants were opened in Wipperfürth und Gummersbach. In 1971, his sons Herbert, Werner, Karl-Heinz and Egon Kemmerich were inducted by their father as partners into the company. The fi rst expansion venture abroad was soon undertaken. The new plant in Lille, France, was soon to be followed by others. Today, the Jokey Group operates production plants in Germany, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Turkey, Belarus, Canada, Egypt and Serbia. Since 1986, the headquarters have been at Niedergaul near Wipperfürth, where Jokey has elaborately restored the protected former factory building of the fi rm Vorwerk & Co. Here, evoking the local »Bergisch« style, a successful synthesis of old and new has been achieved. The integration of old and new has also been very successful in the family fi rm itself: The children of Josef Kemmerich today work together in the company management. For some time now, the third generation has also moved into a management role at Jokey.
