Becoming a BOBST house
To meet the packaging industry’s ever-increasing requirements in terms of quality, efficiency and sustainability, Gundlach Packaging had to optimize its processes while maintaining the highest standards.

Thanks to its strategic partnership with BOBST, the company has successfully improved its production capacities, as well as the services it offers.
To boost performance, reduce waste, and handle more sustainable substrates, Roclayer retrofitted its BOBST EXPERT CI flexo press with the Full Surface Matrix Dryer. The result was more efficient water-based ink application, better ink quality on high-coverage jobs, and higher production reliability in an increasingly competitive flexible packaging market.

An agile, sustainability-driven packaging specialist
BOBST has marked 25 years since its subsidiary in Poland was formed, with a gala networking event bringing together customers and colleagues to celebrate the milestone anniversary for BOBST POLSKA.

The event in Łódź on Thursday, June 12 2025 was attended by printers and converters from across Poland. They were joined by dignitaries from the machinery manufacturer, including CEO Jean-Pascal Bobst and Technology Sales Director Nigel Tracey, and representatives from BOBST’s agent in Poland, Rotary Sp, and partners Pakitoo HIPE, Co-efficient (Consulting Services), CITO, Toolink and Eterna.
Belgium-based bookbinder and printer, GEWA, took a bold step into the packaging market four years ago, investing in its first BOBST die-cutting and folder-gluing equipment. The strategy proved so successful that the packaging operation quickly outgrew its initial capacity.

Facing increasing demand for both short and long runs, GEWA recently double its production capabilities with a duo of new investments; a BOBST NOVACUT 106 E die-cutter, and a BOBST VISIONFOLD 80 A2 folder-gluer, taking its packaging division to the next level.
At the 2025 Sustain Conference in Paris, BOBST was honored with the Outstanding Program Management Award for its achievements in sustainable procurement. This prestigious recognition from EcoVadis highlights BOBST’s strategic vision, execution, and excellence in driving sustainability across its supply chain.

BOBST’s commitment to sustainability has been further reinforced by its EcoVadis Silver Medal, awarded in 2023 and 2024. With an improved score of 69 in 2024, BOBST ranks in the top 15% of companies assessed globally, well above the industry benchmark of 51. This recognition underscores the company’s dedication to continuous improvement in environmental, social, and ethical performance.
The two companies have decided to extend their collaboration by showcasing the NOVAFOIL 106 H in the KURZ Demo Center in Fürth. With the highly specialized hot-stamping transfer machine on site, both companies want to advance new developments that will revolutionize packaging embellishment.
