BOBST is the world’s leading supplier of machinery and services to packaging manufacturers in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible material industries. Founded in 1890 by Joseph Bobst in Lausanne, Switzerland, BOBST has a presence in more than 50 countries.
The strategic deployment of BOBST gravure technology has laid a solid foundation for growth for the Turkish packaging manufacturer. Since the installation of two highly efficient RS 6003 presses, Çevikbaş Packaging has enjoyed the benefits of higher speed, exceptional quality and format flexibility, supporting the company in meeting its customers’ demands.

Founded in 1988, Çevikbaş Packaging in Turkey has a long history in gravure printing, lamination and converting, manufacturing a range of flexible food packaging applications, such as Doy packs, flat bottom and Quadro bags, single and double twists, flow packs, and recyclable, blister, and peelable packaging. To support growth and meet customer requirements, the company needed to substantially expand printing capacity and upgrade production speed.
With faster time to market and superior printing quality, SAV s.r.l. is meeting customer demand thanks to a wider range of labels and printing solutions.
SAV s.r.l., a company located in Central Italy (Falconara Marittima, in the province of Ancona), previously focused exclusively on producing labels for the country’s industrial sector. However, thanks to the acquisition of a BOBST MASTER M5, the company has expanded its horizons and successfully entered new markets, including applications beyond labels in the pharmaceutical, food, electronics, chemicals, and cosmetics sectors. The move has been supported by the highly connected and automated technology of the MASTER M5. This versatile inline flexo press is perfect for converters willing to automate their production line, with systems and solutions that reduce downtime and waste. For example, the press is configurable with print cylinders or sleeves and is ready to be equipped with oneECG technology, to ensure repeatable consistency irrespective of application run length, and minimize ink consumption and inventory.
The Louth site of DS Smith was one of the first to start working with MyBOBST after its launch in early 2020. It is used to aid the service and support of the site’s multiple BOBST machines, whether for flexo printing, flatbed die-cutting or inline flexo folder-gluers.

David Fiddling, Engineering Stores Coordinator at DS Smith Louth, said: “I find the system to be extremely beneficial. We find it most useful to swiftly and accurately track and check prices, which is particularly relevant for parts and consumables we order regularly. This helps streamline the operations of our engineering store, which is an important part of the business to ensure our machines are available and operating.”
BOBST will showcase its leading innovations in flexible packaging, labels, folding carton, corrugated board and services at ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS 2024. Taking place November 4–7, at the Parc des Expositions at Paris-Nord Villepinte, the show promises to be a hub of innovation and an ideal occasion to engage with customers and prospects representing all four industry segments.

BOBST is dedicated to shaping the future of the packaging world in its four industries with highly automated and digitalized solutions and extended services. We are driving sustainability with innovative flexible packaging solutions as well as simplifying production and minimizing waste for our labels customers. In folding cartons, BOBST’s technology empowers converters with zero-fault packaging, and in corrugated board, our cutting-edge solutions boost end-to-end efficiency.

SRF Limited have invested in an EXPERT K5 2900mm which will be installed in their factory in Thailand at the end of this year. This follows the purchase of their machines in 2005 and 2022, the decision to purchase another machine from BOBST is largely due to the good relationship between SRF and the local BOBST team in India and the strong service support which BOBST has provided.
SRF also decided on a third BOBST due to their experience of the unique AluBond® process which was installed on their first EXPERT K5 metallizer and is used for the production of high adhesion, high barrier BOPP films. AluBond® developed by BOBST is well-known in the industry for its ability to achieve high metal adhesion on any substrate, as well as providing enhancement of oxygen and water vapour properties on polyolefin films.

BOBST continues to expand its global presence to ensure the company can serve its customers in every major region of the world. The latest addition to BOBST’s global network is a brand-new R&D and manufacturing site in South Korea, which opened its doors in July 2024.
The new manufacturing site will produce machines for the corrugated board industry by introducing two new products – the NOVAFFG and VISIONFFG – and by re-entering the large-size applications market with the JUMBO, increasingly in high demand.
The investment in the wider DIGITAL MASTER 510, combining flexo and digital technologies, aims to expand the application range, boost production efficiency and increase sustainability.

Geostick Group, a leading label converter in Europe, has developed a strong partnership with BOBST over several years. The decision to invest in another All-in-One solution, this time a DIGITAL MASTER 510, is part of the company’s strategy to explore new applications for existent customers, and to attract new clients, as well as to optimize operations across its facility.
With one eye on future growth, the leadership team at self-adhesive label specialist Haitoglou SA Graphic Arts, established in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008, opted for a fully automated solution that set them up for a digitalized future.

The latest addition to their machinery, the BOBST MASTER M5, came as the company looked to grow to the next level. “One of the greatest challenges for us is the new technology – the more the machines evolve, the more we need to evolve to cope with that change and move forward,” says Mrs. Denise Haitoglou, CEO and owner.
